#22 GameChanging Guests – Kevin Palmieri (US) – Changing the Game of self-development

Interview with Kevin Palmieri

“I had it all and yet I was extremely unhappy” In this episode I’m talking to GameChanger Kevin Palmieri, CFO, founder and co-host of Next Level Podcast Solutions. Kevin talks about something a lot of us entrepreneurs recognise: functionally everything was fine, but he was also aware of the fact that he knew he wanted to live differently.

“I was more fulfilled when I was broke”
As many personal entrepreneurial stories, Kevin’s story involves a tremendous pain as well. Growing up without a father, his live was marked already from a young age. Although he had many successes personally and professionally, one day, he found himself having suicidal thoughts. Eventually he turned those around in a powerful Next Level Universe and set up a foundation that helps children without fathers.

Today he helps many people to create a better and happier life, to become a better person and partner and all with three key elements: consistency, confidence and overcoming limiting beliefs. Listen or watch this inspiring episode and don’t hesitate to reach out to either one of us when you seek support.

Interview with John Follis

In this episode I’m interviewing another amazing GameChanger: John Follis. It’s so great to talk to a fellow Marketeer about the craft (because that’s what’s Marketing is!), his experiences in NYC and his current contribution to the world. Anyone who’s worked on Mad Ave a week has a story. John spent 3 decades there — first, getting fired. Then, getting famous. Selected one of Mad Ave’s “12 Best” by The NY Ad Club John has been an ADWEEK columnist and featured speaker at venues including The World Business Academy and Yale.

His agency, Follis DeVito Verdi, was one of New York’s most awarded.

John also has the unique honor of being acknowledged at both The White House and The UN for his effective public service work. He’s also been fired 4 times and been told he has no talent.

John: “I began on Madison Ave with the top agencies in the US on accounts like VW, Pizza Hut and Coke. That led to the co-founding of my own agency, Follis&Verdi, which became one of the most awarded creative agencies in the country. As the media and marketing landscape changed, so did my business. In ’04, I created one of the first online consultancies, “Follis Marketing Therapy”, which enabled business owners across the US to work with me directly on their marketing and creative issues. In ’06, I hosted and produced the first marketing podcast; “The Marketing Show with John Follis” which continued for 7 years. In 2013, to meet the demand for the exploding digital video market, we added “Big Idea Video” which offers businesses a variety of high-impact web video content including animated “explainer videos”.

Additional career highlights include:
• Being selected one of “New York’s 12 Best” by The New York Ad Club.
• Being honored at The White House for a national public service campaign that I spearheaded.
Receiving the first ever United Nations Public Service Award at The UN.
• Being invited to speak at venues including The World Business Academy and Yale University. • Winning over 3 dozen major ad awards including Clio Awards.
• Having my successful ad work featured in a Prentice-Hall marketing textbook.
• Having my successful ad work taught as a case study in The Harvard Business Review.
• Being invited to write for ADWEEK and Small Biz Trends. • Being published in a pop-culture anthology with internationally known writers including Stephen King.
• Writing, directing and producing a film that won a Hollywood International Documentary Film award.

Listen to his inspiring story and valuable tips and tricks to challenge yourself to look at Marketing differently. Every single day we have a choice on how we show up in our lives and our business. How do you make the right choices and how can you create a sustainable approach and strategies for yourself? Listen to our interview and get inspired!

And still building together 🙂 Hoe?

#19 GameChanging Guests: Michael Thornhill (Peru) – Trauma-informed healer/co-owner Casa Galactica

Interview with Michael In this episode we're taking you all the way to a sacred valley in Peru where Michael and his wife Jamie, run a GameChanging Healing & Evolution

Interview with Michael

In this episode we’re taking you all the way to a sacred valley in Peru where Michael and his wife Jamie, run a GameChanging Healing & Evolution Center with Ayahuasca in a Trauma-informed Environment. Our interview became an interesting mix of deep diving into the spiritual terms and techniques to make “trauma-informed and multi-dimensional healing” more accessible.

It can sounds “far from your bed” but it should be very close since it’s all about getting back to yourself, heal the pains and trauma’s that you still hold inside and therefor became your main driven mechanism. Spirituality is often seen as something outside of you, but it’s actually the opposite and should be getting more and more implemented in the world. You don’t have to meditate the whole day to tap into yourself as the endless source for wisdom and guidance. I use it every day when I go for my daily walk and think consciously about my day ahead for example.

By healing, you become better. As a person, as a friend/husband and as an entrepreneur. We also talk about being a “conscious entrepreneurship”, an example of social entrepreneurship what this podcast is all about: what path did Michael walk before he could start and the successful and impactful “Casa Galactica”, how do they stay true to themselves in their market approach, sales and social media (which they narrowed down to only podcasts!) and most importantly: how do you keep standing firm behind these aligning decisions?

How do you build a business around your spiritual purpose?

As in all interviews, we share both our experiences in order to inspire our audience. Lastly, we talk about their work in the sacred valley of Peru; what is the Game they want to change, how do you do that and where can you find more information? Every guest on the GameChangers United Podcast fills in a selection form to identify if it’s the right fit for the show.

Take a look at what Michael wrote; a true GameChanger by nature!

“I’ve ran successful business in renewable energy recruitment, found ayahuasca to overcome addictions, traveled the world, moved to Peru, healed lots of trauma including repressed sexual abuse, got an apprenticeship in the jungle, facilitated ayahuasca retreats, studied in the amazon rainforest, met my wife, created Casa Galactica, are changing the way that people heal with plant medicines in a trauma-informed way. My life is dedicated to helping people heal and evolve whilst being empowered throughout the process.” The Game you want to Change “We are creating safe, trauma-informed spaces for people to heal and evolve with plant medicines. Our ideal clients are dedicated inner-truth seekers who want to heal trauma and evolve spiritually.”

Deze man.

You can try to watch this interview with my 90 year old grandfather with subtitles in English!

#17 GameChanging Guests: Loïs Hollis – Changing the Game of Shame Guilt after her NDE due to abuse

Interview with Loïs Hollis

In this episode I’m interviewing the amazing Loïs Hollis (78!) who is determined to teach us about the Shame Guilt energy and how to get rid of it. Every person fills in a selection form upfront to identify if we are the right fit to do this interview.

Her first sentence was so powerful: “I was dying at 55 and now rollerblading with my grandson at 78.” Her life story begins 78 years ago in the States where she experienced a childhood of excessive abuse.

At the age of 55 she almost died due to the wide range of consequences because of this abuse.
“My childhood was extremely abusive. I endured head traumas, broken ribs, skull, jaws, and neck that resulted in a Near Death Experience. My life was continued but I had the residue of emotional and physical abuse, 30 years of migraine headache, scoliosis, leaky heart valve, dyslexia and irlen syndrome to name a few.”

She survived the NDE at 55, married the one doctor who managed to give her back her life (who wouldn’t!) and today she is on a mission to change the game for many people who are stuck in a prison of Shame and Guilt.

“My legacy is to be the one who exposed the destructive shame guilt influence deliberately placed upon humanity. Individuals can now be naturally empowered because no one is educated or controlled to be a victim.”

Loïs explains what the Shame Guilt energy does, how it is present in even the smallest thoughts we have during the day, why it’s also then very destructive for us and most importantly: how to get rid of it. During this interview I’m sharing one of my biggest trauma’s that I had suppressed for 23 years – without consciously knowing I did. But I always felt this Shame Guilt energy around, however, I didn’t know it was this energy. We can carry this with us for so many years and it’s suppressing a to of the power that we posses.

Today Loïs is helping people all over the world as a Shame Guilt Educator, counsellor and filmmaker. Listen or watch this GameChanging interview with this extraordinary woman.

#15 GameChanging Guests: Jason Barnard – “The BRAND SERP guy” on a mission to Change the Game in the Google industry…

In this episode I’m interviewing Jason Barnard, an experienced GameChanger who throughout his life, had to change his own game a few times as well. We talk about betrayal, how it was to be a digital nomad in the 90’s on Mauritius, being a blue cartoon dog (I know, fascinating right!), climbing back up from personal and professional setbacks, depression and eventually how he is doing what is doing today: helping entrepreneurs to educate Google in a way that will benefit their business and their missions. As with every interview, we both experienced some new insights as well during our talk. Happy to inspire you as well!

Interview with Leni Cavazos

#14 GameChanging Guests: Leni Cavazos (Mexico) – an high achieving organizer, here to Change the Game in the retreat industry!

In this episode I’m interviewing Leni, a vivid woman with a clear vision: changing the game in the retreat industry. Her story and her desire for high quality are the reason why she is where she is today.

Every guest on the show fills in a selection form to identify if it’s the right fit for the show. Take a look at what Leni wrote; a true GameChanger!

Background Story

My name is Leni Cavazos, I am a planner and curator. From Mexico to the world, my prime specialty is producing hybrid events, private retreats, niche masterclasses, educational conferences, and immersive experiences from head to toe.

Where did it all begin? Actually at the altar! With 18+ years of experience in event creation, planning, and execution, it all started with hosting weddings back in the day. Then I was offered a surprising career opportunity in Dubai with Marriott’s global office, where I was recruited to roll out Marketing campaigns & hospitality conferences across the Middle East and Africa.

After six splendid years in sunny Dubai, I realized that something was missing. I tenaciously sought out the next step along my spiritual path that could also be holistically connected with my business side. Then before I knew it, The Retreat Planner was born and became an agency focused on designing, developing, and executing events within the spiritual realm.

The Game already Changed or wants to Change
I am changing the way people plan their retreats, bringing their full purpose into the planning, from the water they choose to the location where they will host it. I am bringing Intentionality into their lives. My ideal clients are yoga teachers, meditation teachers, life coaches, transformational coaches, healers, or spiritual guides, or if they want to become a professional retreat planner looking to learn how to master, create and execute a retreat.
